UPOU TAKES URGENT ACTION TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE AND ITS IMPACTS
With the issue of climate change gaining national traction in the past few decades, UPOU designed a flagship program, called CARe-UPOU, which aims to make the University a climate-adaptive and resilient institution against disasters. UPOU offers webinars, courses, and other programs to educate the masses on climate change and DRRM. As it progresses, the University hopes to contribute to reducing the impacts of climate change by introducing appropriate practices to reduce its adverse effects and transforming everyone into drivers of change towards a healthier and sustainable environment.
LOCAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS ON CLIMATE
UPOU provides local education programs and campaigns on the detrimental effects of climate change, as well as mitigation and impact reduction practices.
